One of the most important parts of the body is our feet, because  on them depends our ability to move and perform most of the activities of our daily life.

In many occasions, due to the type of work we have, the footwear we use, the sport we practice or simply at a certain age (because the feet also age) injuries or pathologies such as corns, corns, bunions, incarnated nails (nails), etc. may appear, limiting the capacity and freedom of movement.

In our clinic it is clear that prevention is always the best treatment

It implies haste, speed and anticipation. Circumstances that can occur at early ages, in children.

Therefore we strongly emphasize the need to make an assessment not only of the feet but also the overall development of the child from the age of 3-4 years (given that no previous alteration has been detected since birth, which in such a case it will be done before), whether or not the child shows discomfort, as the damage that can be producing in their muscles, tendons or bones will not show up until reaching adulthood.

As time passes by our feet also age, deteriorate and suffer associated injuries. But that doesn’t mean that we have to stop doing what we like to do and what makes us feel good.

Going out for a walk with the dog, meeting friends to play a game of cards or having a snack with friends in the cafeteria can be a struggle due to deformities such as claw fingers, bunions, loss of the plantar fat pad, or of lesions such as an incarnated nail or a “chicken’s eye”.

Diseases such as diabetes or osteoarthritis also directly affect our feet, and for this reason in our clinic we have specific treatment plans.

Sport is a way of life and a way of staying alive.

The feet are an essential instrument in most cases, and therefore, any problem that directly or indirectly affects our feet will limit our ability to continue its practice.

The load they have to bear increases considerably during the sporting gesture, and as well as there are different sports, there are also different types of athletes. For this reason, getting a biomechanical study of how our body behaves and its point of support (the feet)while we practice it can help us to prevent injuries or to recover from them.

Diabetes is a disease that increasingly affects th epopulation and has a special impact on the feet. Poor systemic control and associated pathologies can lead to the appearance of a diabetic foot, whichis a clinical picture that alters the quality of life of diabetics, resulting in wounds that become ulcers and can lead to amputations and even death of the patient.

For this reason, the role played by the podiatristis of vital importance when treating and, aboveall, preventing the appearance of a diabetic foot.
