PODIATRY FOR OLD-AGE
As time passes by our feet also age, deteriorate and suffer associated injuries. But that doesn’t mean that we have to stop doing what we like to do and what makes us feel good.
Going out for a walk with the dog, meeting friends to play a game of cards or having a snack with friends in the cafeteria can be a struggle due to deformities such as claw fingers, bunions, loss of the plantar fat pad, or of lesions such as an incarnated nail or a “chicken’s eye”.
Diseases such as diabetes or osteoarthritis also directly affect our feet, and for this reason in our clinic we have specific treatment plans, through discharge insoles and compensation for misalignments, silicone orthoses, appropriate footwear and training on preventive measures so that these pathologies do not get to cause important lesions such as ulcers and digital deformities.
Many times the age entails a decrease in our visual acuity and our flexibility, and it is therefore dangerous for us to try to solve the problems by ourselves.
We understand that life at this age changes its rhythm and that is why our team is always happy to listen to you, help you and try to learn from the voice of the experience.
